Icon20 Day-Date 1803 reassembling Day& Date discs

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to this forum and this is my first post, I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong place or doing it incorrectly but I need your help. I decided to replace the Day & Date discs in my 1803, Cal. 1556, (champagne vs. white), when I removed the existing discs I did NOT pay attention to the orientation of the tooth in the center of the date wheel or the "notch" on the Day disc, I'm now stuck trying to insert the new discs correctly, they don't seem to stay in place after I put the dial on top. Is there a particular sequence or orientation where the notch and the tooth should be pointing to ? Like the date disc tooth should be pointing to the 12:00 or 6:00 or? Or the notch in the day disc, should a specific date of the month that needs to be lined up at the 3:00 o'clock magnification window? Is there a particular day of the week that the day disc should be aligned at the day window? Please help!!!!! Thanks in advance.

No orientation lay the discs on put dial on rotate the the crown till the date changes then put minute hand on only and count till the hand goes past 12 24 times now you know you're at midnite now take minute hand off put on hour at 12 and minute at 12 then sweep seconds this watch is non quickset so to get the right day and date rotate till the day is the one you want then backwards till about 8 o'clock then go forward till the date changes as many times as it takes to get to the right day hope that helps Rikki
