Joined the Club
Just wanted to say Hi and that I've joined the club :) After spending way too much time thinking about no date vs date and looking at pictures, I made the leap today. Shout out to Montecristo in Vancouver for an easy purchasing experience. I had wanted to purchase locally in Victoria, but there were none in stock and well... impatience had its way.
I decided to make the plunge to commemorate the birth of my Son (granted he's 7 months old now!) Very pleased and can't stop looking at it. We'll see how long the honeymoon period lasts!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Just peeled off all the plastics and am happy to wear this piece in as my own. Definitely appreciate the glidelock bracelet, my wrist changes size a fair bit over the course of the day and have already adjusted it twice. Loving the newer blue lume, bigger case and maxi dial. That said, I would trade all my watches for a 42mm dial!
There is certainly something that is difficult to describe about the Rolex... my Omega Seamaster (which got me into this whole expensive interest...) is great in every way as are the new models... but the best way to describe the Sub is Solid. Like a vault door, extremely close tolerances and quality control. Everything fits together perfectly. Very happy with the decision! |
