GMT functions really are the most usable function in a watch if you travel. Plus they just look damn cool.
Q1-Q2 we travel about 6-8 times and then we get a break in the Summer and back to traveling all of Q3.

It's funny, all my traveling especially through ORD and DFW I have never seen a GMT. I think the only GMT I saw in the states was at the Cosmo in Vegas.

Worse comes to worse and you don't like the BLNR, you can let it go without losing any money at the very least.
I had a BLNR already and got offered a Sub (both MSRP) They are different watches. Keep them both. You won’t regret it.

I’d rather have the sub. You could just flip the Batman. There’s nothing wrong with that. The sub is special to you and I get what you mean about this dampening that. Do you want to have a nice watch that means something or chase watches?

Nads, so did the AD that was jerking you around finally pull through with a BLNR?

Not sure why you’re debating … a BLNR at retail is an immediate buy.

BLNR at Retail

Easy choice for me, blnr

I am not a fan of modern submariner. While 126xxx is miles better then 116xxx ( due to case design) i still find 21mm bracelet and massive clasp very large and uncomfortable.
It feels like wearing handcuffs

Now , 14060M submariner, easily top 5 best rolex ever made

Oh, believe me, I get it—easily one of my favorite references ever:

I’m just giving him a bit of a hard time because I remember reading multiple posts about how he was not a fan of the lugs.

Lift from your keyboard, get off this blog, and get down to your AD, and get that GMT.

Decide what to do later, get the GMT now.

Is this from an AD? What’s the story?

Definitely go BLNR here and move the sub

Pure hyperbole. Older case is better, movement is more solid, and bracelet with clasp is superior.
But, that’s just, like your opinion. Man! Lol

I remember looking at pictures since I joined TRF last year and thinking the GMT lugs were enormous. I shared your sentiment.

Then I tried one on for the first time a few weeks ago and then again last week and was waiting for the lugs to jump out at me. They never did.

I’m definitely sold on the GMT and would be thrilled with either the BLRO or BLNR on jubilee. Waiting for a call, myself. They’re all fantastic, who am I kidding?

Just buy the GMT first and worry about what to do with the sub and the wife later. You only live once.

GMT at retail is a Hard yes. Which sub ND or date? If a date sell the sub. If no date try and find a way to keep both.

I prefer variety so opted out for a jubilee.

The BNLR is a cool watch, I love every bit of it. I think if you can afford both you should keep both but if you can't, let the Sub go then.

If I can get a solid commitment to getting the black Daytona next year for a big occasion, I might trade. The blnr on jubilee and the black Daytona are a great combo I am aiming for.

Trade the date for a no date + cash. Buy the wife a gift.

Youll have two watches and the wife will be happy.

i really hate it when you cant decide for yourself...but the wife will make that decision for you...that is called controlling....

but what the F do i know, been divorced twice....

couples need hobbies together or separate ...no it's not a hobby...the wife's hobby is to keep you in line and unhappy.

That would be a great combo. I think you might miss the Sub as your easy going watch with those two heavy hitters.

My vote is to get the BLNR and keep the sub as least for the short term as to not make an irrational decision. I have a black sub, a bluesy and a GMT GRNR. Love all three and don't think I would ever get rid of any of them. The black sub is my beater, my bluesy is a little more casual (have it on a Rubber B blue strap) and my GMT is for more formal occasions. You may find you might like rotating both as well.

So did you get the BLNR yet or not!?!?! Surely the AD isn’t letting it sit around lol.
