Dude... waking up early on a weekend just isn't something I can muster.

I'd be willing to give it a shot though once the weather warms up.

The camera really does not matter as I have shots of near similar quality that I took with my iPhone .

The secret is mastering the light and finding the right composition.
It's okay if you don't have a light box. Just use your eyes and see how the watch is lit. Is it soft and smooth or is it harsh and very reflective everywhere? If harsh, move stuff around. Try shooting near a window but not when the sun shines directly on the watch. That's too harsh. Also, avoid mixed lights because it confuses the camera and you end up with red or blue watches. I either use no lights at all or just one kind. For example, if your kitchen lights are fluorescent and your living room lights are tungsten... and you are shooting in the kitched (like I did) shut off the tungsten lights in the living room.

You can also hold a piece of paper over the watch to diffuse the light if needed.

Look along the lens before you take the shot. If you see any reflections in the dial, your camera will see that too.

Really, that's all there is to it, at least in theory. It all comes down to those basic things followed by shot after shot after shot.
