Cartier WSTA0040 stainless Tank XL le Must

The Cartier WSTA0040 stainless Tank XL le Must was introduced in June of 2021, replacing the Tank Solo line. It measures 41 mm x 31 mm and is 8.4 mm thick. This is larger than the classic rose gold Louis Cartier at 34 mm x 25.5 mm, and 6.6 mm thick. The brancards are curved unlike the Cartier Tank Solo.

It mimics the Louis Cartier Tank with a synthetic cabochon spinel. The dial is silvered flinqué, with a guilloche inset face, It has blued steel sword hands and is pictured with my optional blue alligator band, instead of the calfskin strap that to my eye looks out of place on a Cartier Tank. It also introduced a new deployant with two-tab release. A date aperture is at 6 o'clock. To me this watch is an excellent value and is a great update to the Tank Solo, using much more of the Louis Cartier DNA.
