Icon2 OT: My Favorite 24/24 Strap !!!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my favorite 24/24 strap with you .. Made out of British Tan leather by the loose cannon of the strap world .. Shane Delaurian. It actually takes a little bit of convincing to get him to make a "not-so-unusual" strap and he did agree to make me one for my now-departed 243 late last year. I, unfortunately, sold my 243 just after this one arrived and it has since waited to for an appropriate match. The wait ended tonight ...

I recently sold all my 24/24 straps and this is only one that survived. Quite Deservingly so IMHO.The texture on this strap is the very best I have ever laid my eyes one. The thickness is just right and the finishing on the edges and holes is something I have not seen before. The underside of the strap is lined by some fine leather as well [dont know which kind .. pics attached] and to make the strap unique in a Delaurian way, the keepers are integrated.

After strapping on this strap on the new-to-me Ennebi, I realized that I do really need one more of this in 26/26 for the 372 .. Have written to Shane and hope he agrees to make me one more [ maybe two more .. one to use and another for keeps ]

Hope you enjoy the pictures
Cheers
Nishant

Few Quick Close-ups ..

Under-sides ..

Finishing at the edges and thickness..

That's a very nice strap, especially liked the keepers and the stitching on the short end. Do you have some close up pictures of the keepers and the back side of the strap?

And Congrats on the Ennebi, killer combo you have here

Very nice! Love the details and underside.
I can see how you'd want to hold on to that one.
Hopefully another in 26mm will be along soon.

Well ... I should slow down on straps ... I want a ted su ... No, i want 2 ... And a JV and an Assolutamente OEM

So many straps ... So little time. Already changed from OEM rubber to Drew's canvas ...

Beautiful strap. Beautiful watch. You should be aware sir that your extraordinary photography skills have nearly caused me to purchase a 389. Now I want to order a strap from this guy. Please stop. You're killing me.

Why don't we make this into a 2013 TRF Panerai "NISHANT" strap? We can do a group order and this way, there is more economic incentive to make a batch!!

haha!!!

The keepers are a touch of genius for me here, they just make it a whole lot more special and fun. Imagine putting your initials or model number on it and to add on, the quality of finishing is

Just curious, will the integrated keepers affect the comfort of wearing? Any chance of seeing more wristshots ?

For the quality, the price is too good to be true IMO. I paid 155 for it as far as I can remember .. Don't know what it will be now but still, totally worth it. What s more .. He is well-known for keeping only 100 dollars per strap to himself .. Rest is donated to charity, UNICEF I believe.

It is my observation that the integrated keepers and the additional piece of stitched leather jutting out from the keepers makes the strap wear like a mini-bund by hugging the wrist .. Felt like I am wearing a bracelet or sth. Pretty neat !!

Sounds like comfort has not been compromised and the fact that part of the proceeds goes to charity is just Thank you again for sharing this strap .
