Just the date wheel, he doesn't know if the watch works, has no idea of working order or service, and while for me the date font is correct, I wanted to check. He also doesn't accept returns, so I made an offer accordingly.
I think the watch is in desperate need of a service.

Yep, he seems quite responsive, but you never know. Watch seems it's been stored for a while.

They are always responsive until you wire funds.

I would pass on this one.

Yes, I know, just felt it was posted by a guy who had no idea. Wouldn't be I protected by paypal? Although just thinking about claiming everything gives me a headache already.

I agree, when you ask 3k for a 1k watch you don't have a clue.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's an automatic watch, it shouldn't need a battery.

Edit - my mistake, I missed the big letters that say " Oyster-Quartz " !

Standard OQ service at RSC is roughly the same as an automatic, but if certain parts need replacing it can be very expensive. Better to look for one recently serviced.

Just an FYI... it doesn't matter if he claims not to accept returns. Everything on Ebay is returnable if pay via Paypal. If you receive the item and it is misrepresented or inauthentic you can open a case and will likely win if you provide details and return shipping information.

I believe that Ebay has buyer protection even if you do not pay via Paypal, but I have never used it and I cannot vouch for how it works. Good Luck!
