Graf von Faber Castell - Pernambucco Wood FP

I have been lusting after this one for 5 or more years but was not willing to part from the $$$$$ "they" always wanted for this fountain pen.

Finally found one with a reasonable price. Tis now in the collection.

Richard, your new pen looks fantastic…what size nib is in the FP???

I bought one of their pens(also with a wooden barrel) a couple of years ago when they had a "Trunk Sale" at the Paradise Pen store. I also received a decent discount and picked up a FP and the Representative was able to swap out the Medium nib with a Fine nib since this store basically only carries fountain pens with a medium or larger nib!!!

Enjoy your new pen…..Leo

Thank you Leo!

This FP was surprisingly a bit larger than expected. But such a lovely writing instrument that I am considering sending it off to have the nib touched up to a nice italic.

Wouldn't it be fun to learn how to do the work on fountain pens…from changing the style of Nibs to repairing them and any other repairs which may need to be done on any type of mechanical writing instrument……

Now this sounds like a fun job where you can work from home and at your own pace allowing clients the pleasure of a returned fixed pen!!!

I have considered many times learning how to be a nibmeister! One day I will... perhaps after I retire in the next 6 years or so.

It would be lovely to take any fountain pen and turn it into a work of satisfaction.

It can't be that hard!

I have always hated touching metal when I write. Finger sweat comes to mind.

This one is a bit different! Methinks it has a finger fan build into the section that evaporates sweat as we write! Ah HAAAA!!!!!!!

Yea!
