Quartz vs. automatic

Please talk to me about a quartz vs. automatic movement. I am a novice for sure, but have the idea that automatic movement is superior. Is this correct? And why? Thank you!!! I have already learned so much here!

Quartz = convenience and FULL STOP

Automatic is more superior and have much better resale value and collection value

For me, quartz for grab and go. When I want to reach into my watch drawer and grab a watch before heading out, it is more than likely a quartz watch.

However, when I want to enjoy the sweep of a second hand and experience the soul of a watch, I go for one of my automatic watches.
Cheers, Bill P.

Stick with mechanical and strike a blow for the human resistance against Skynet.
