Is there any real point in paying 4-8k or even more for ETA based watches?
I don't know a lot about Panerai, but I've heard and read about Service issues with Panerai. Some people are happier with an ETA movement because they are so much easier to get serviced. I've heard parts are difficult to get (time wise) for in house movements. Also, not everyone will/can work on In house movements. Having said that, I have an in house movement. And having said that, I'm sorta dreading when service time comes.
