16013 Stiff Winding Question

Greetings,

I am fortunate to have inherited a nice 16013 Datejust that my grandfather purchased in 1984. My father recently gave it to me. He tells me he had it serviced about 5-8 years ago. It seems to run well. On my timegraoher with a full wind I am getting +2day / Amplitude around 250 / No beat error (all dial up)

My question is about the stiffness of the winding mechanism. Even with power reserve nearly depleted, the crown is quite stiff to turn. The resistance is about the same whether fully wound or fully depleted. I have owned several watches with the 3135 movement and this was certainly not the case. Is the 3035 different in this way? Is the constant stiffness of the wind mechanism something I should have looked at?

Thank You
