Sub C in Canada
Just wondering if anyone has purchased a Sub C in Canada recently ? I think I am going to pull the trigger soon and am wondering what the list price is in Canada.
My local AD will usually give me a pretty good discount and I would also like to know what kind of discounts other folks are getting in Canada so I can use it as a starting point for negotiating. Also the name of any AD's in Canada that are providing a good discount on the new Sub would be great, I might check them out if things don't work out with my local AD. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. Dave |

MSRP in Toronto Canada is $8410.00 on a 116610 LN. Work your AD for a 25% discount before taxes. If they don't go for it, step it up point by point. Tell them your going to buy the watch TODAY, and want to give them your business. So make your goal $7127.47 Total. Good luck.

I only got 13.5% off, but I did have the first in Ottawa ( the early worm pays the most!). Royal de Versailles in toronto seems to offer 20-22 % without haggling.
I love mine btw ( so I've never worried that I paid "too much"). My theory btw is that there has been unofficial price adjustments downward as the dollar has risen. Cheers and good luck! Last edited by Danand; 6 April 2011 at 01:07 PM.. Reason: Edit |

If you purchase it from an AD outside of your province (via phone or email) you will only pay the GST of 5%. I would recommend Fosters Jewelers in Lethbridge Alberta. Ph. (403) 327-4429 Fax (403) 320 1307 andrew@fostersjewellery.com |

The AD in Vancouver where I bought my watches , did it for me . Make sure you bring a wad of cash with you and you are ready to buy. If you ask over the phone or just walk in and ask , you might not get the deal you would get with cash in hand.

Maybe you should try South of the border. With the rising Canadian buck along with a discount it might be worth a check. Not only that, but I believe in Washington State you don't have to pay their sales tax. The trip back through customs - well that's up to you. Warranty may be a problem?
Let me know your plans and the name of the AD in Vancouver, as I am looking for the same watch (I live in Kelowna with a residence in Gastown). Possible group purchase?? J. Alan |

Thanks everybody for the great info.
I got side tracked a little and ended up buying a Breitling Chronomat a couple weeks ago. I'm getting serious again about the Sub C and dropped by my AD last week to try one on and feel them out a bit about a discount. I mentioned that people are getting a 25-30% discount at other AD's and they said they would get back to me so I'm kind of in the wait mode. |

31% off retail here. Although looking back, I should've bought out of province to save taxes, Ontario's 13% sales tax makes me sick, I ended up paying around 600 in taxes alone. You can PM me if you'd like to know where I bought it, I will ask the AD but they don't like disclosing themselves because they realize it was a hefty discount and they don't do it much.

I'm just wondering if you buy in another province and they ship it to you do pay their provincial taxes ? I'm sure you'll have to pay the federal portion of the HST.
