Daytona 116500LN Warranty Claim
Thought this was a bit out of the ordinary let me know if anyone has had the same experience. I was having issues with my clasp so I had sent my 116500LN White dial in on a warranty claim.
The watch came back in good shape with the clasp fixed. Everything looked good on the paper work with the exception of the DIAL configuration it read as the following: "Dial: DIA 116528 WHIT/BLAC HMK W" When I called up both the RSC in NY and Dallas, they confirmed that this is the correct configuration and Dial for the 116500LN White in SS and this was their internal reference # in their system. Does anyone else find this a bit odd? Has anyone else sent their 116500LN in for warranty and gotten back the same paper work/dial description? Thank you for your thoughts. |

I don’t have a 116500 but while we wait for anyone who already sent it to RSC, this is a diamond white dialed 116528.
How they don’t know that at the RSC is disturbing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thank you for getting back to me!!!! I’m shocked that no one else has noticed this but maybe because it’s a new model and people aren’t rushing to get a service/warranty claim

The dial is white with black sub dials. I don’t understand the confusion, the description is correct, as is the reference number.

The dial having a reference number of 116528 is curious since the watch is reference 116500 and the “8” is used for yellow gold by Rolex.... personally I find this interesting that Rolex did this. It would make more sense for the dial reference to be 116529 since there’s no YG on them. Head scratcher here

Why worry about why and how Rolex codes their products/dials internally if confirmed by Rolex NY and Dallas that it is correct?

I’m not doubting the authenticity of the watch (at least now). It was just unsettling to see it on the paperwork and I was curious if anyone had gone through the same experience. After I made the appropriate calls it definitely put me at ease.

Sounds like much to do about nothing. Rolex is probably just trying to authenticate the dial and everything and that is simply a part of the paperwork nowadays. If anything should make you happy because you know you've got an authentic Rolex with the correct white dial. I'd be very happy!
