My first Rolex - Deepsea
I just purchased my first Rolex - a Sea Dweller Deepsea V Series. I purchased it from a guy that sells on this site - I gave him solid feedback in the "who's who?" section for your viewing.
I love the Deepsea and its size! I have a 43MM Breitling with a thick case and I have a 50MM U-Boat - so I am accustomed to large watches. This is classy, sporty and well sized. A great purchase for my first Rolex - solid feeling watch. Not heavy at all! |

Enjoy the beast! It's an awesome watch that hasn't left my wrist in over a week and is staying on there for sometime. My other watches are jealous!

Nice first Rolex
You couldn't lose that watch, even if you tried, it's so big.

Who did you purchase it from and do you know anyone in particular?
I'm looking to purchase the same watch. Can you direct me to someone you trust?

Nice... I like ROlex but for the size I still on the fence, but this one looks awesome, the size looks good enough for me but i have a question, i think the bracelet is not wider enough to match the case.
Any opinion? |

Personally, I hate the fact that I no longer wear ANY other watch as a daily beater after finally acquiring the DSSD. It's like I totally forgot how to spread the love to my other timepieces.
And believe me, I tried a rotational schedule early on, but find myself salivating and really 'missing' the DS almost immediately. Perhaps others suffer from a similar issue. And believe me, if I had known it was this bad, I probably NOT get the DS at all. Aside from this fact, however, and as you might imagine, it's truly an very stylish, functional and exemplary timepiece and I absolutely adore it!! BEST REGARDS |

I feel that same pain. I loved my SD 4000, regretted trading up to a 16613 in 2004 so much that I bought another one in 2008. I just bought my DSSD last week and my poor ole SD 4000 is getting no love.

Indeed wearing the DS is comfortable. Although my wrist size is medium I am used to wearing big watches (seawolf avenger 44mm, Pam 88 44mm, Aquatimer 44mm Once a while). Once in a while I put on the Breitling plain black 22mm rubber band on it and it looks a lot different compared to when it's on the SS bracelet. I also put a thick black leather watch band on it as well. Depends on my mood. It's almost like a different watch.

My DSSD is also my first ever Rolex. Probably will also be my only Rolex too as I don't envisage myself needing another watch for a very very long time.
Coming from an Omega 2298.80 Ti chrono and a Casio Brazilian Frogman (Addict Special Edition), the size of the DSSD is just right. |
