Greetings
Hello all. I intend mostly to lurk, looking to make my first purchase in the next 2-6 years. I hit my 20 year mark in 6 years so that will be my excuse to my wife to buy my first Rolex if I can't come up with a good one before then!
I'm interested in learning more about the watches, especially vintage and pre owned. I currently have my eyes on the 2014 oyster perpetual with pink dial. I also really like the few years prior Air King salmon dial or white dial. Not sure if I will be comfortable starting used, I'm sure there is much to be said for making a new purchase the first time around. Thanks for such a great learning place! |

Hi and welcome.
Nothing like purchasing new Used however can be a great start point. Allowed me to kind of feel my way in if that makes sense 1. Started with Speedking sold 2. Moved to Oysterdate 6694 sold 3. Moved to Airking sold (regret this sale) 4. Moved to 1603 datejust then went for a second 16014 white dial datejust (still have both as recent purchases) 5. Sub no date or explorer planned nov/dec 15 - probably new or near new Used allowed me to "play" a little - what I liked, what I liked less, movements, history, colours etc etc without spending the earth or getting hammered on depreciation from new etc Peeps on here will be great to help you navigate the used market Food for thought Enjoy |

Welcome. But if you hang around here, you'll be making your first purchase sooner than later.
