The Glidelock bracelet on the Sub is Rolex's dive extension and is found only on the dive watches. The GMT has the Easylink folding link adjustment in the clasp.

Submariner or GMT-master ii?
Only one correct answer. Both!

For my 1st I went with a GMT since it has more utility for me - I actually use the GMT feature. I believe any GMT will remain relevant due to ease of travel and constant communication across time zones.
The Sub, the Daytona - must be justified more on emotion. |

For me it's the sub, the half link hidden in the clasp if used as a replacement of a full link gives me the perfect fit!

BLNR! Many Rolex owners travel and are adventurous! The Explorer II is also a great choice and embodies both the sub and GMT!

This exactly. I cannot justify paying such an enormous premium on this watch. IMHO the Sub is iconic and timeless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sub for sure.
I'm not a fan of PCL's and the extra hand on the GMT dial seems distracting to me in photos, although I'm sure if I owned one that extra hand would not be an issue when looking at it frequently to check the time.

Had the BLNR just for color but eventually caught up to me as I am not a fan of GMT watches to much going on the bezel / never a need for multiple timezones.
I have the Sub C little cleaner and always like dive watches even though I don't dive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

SubC Date was my first Rolex and now I have a BLNR. I much prefer the GMT over the Sub because I don't dive and won't need the extra water resistance, the GMT complication is useful, and watch is better proportioned and therefore fits my wrists better. Only thing I like about the Sub better than the GMT is the Glidelock.

I have a GMT-II and a Sub and I much prefer the Sub. Try them both on, see what you like.
