White gold vs yellow gold vs Everose?

When you think of these specific metals does each one come with a certain stereotype also? Whenever I thought about the yellow gold models I always imagine the old guys hanging out at the country club. White gold seemed like a younger crowd to me. Speaking with my AD he says he sees more and more younger men gravitating towards the yellow and everose. Just wondering peoples thoughts.

I think WG is more for a person who loves an all precious metal watch but doesn't want it to attract attention like RG or YG would. I think people who love RG want the look of gold but in a more subtle yet beautiful look. The YG just screams gold and those that want it don't mind that it is loud and love the warmth of YG or they want the watch to be noticed. Just my 2 cents.

I've always had the old gold stereotype in my head and was a s/s man through and through until, aged 50, I got a Rootbeer GMT.

I'm 55 now and also have a Bluesy and a rose gold olive DD. I also have a slate YM and other s/s.

Maybe I just proved the stereotype!

Interestingly I have a few very very wealthy clients who are 30-35 and are both mainly yellow gold, with a few s/s. One of those guys said he felt yellow was "younger" than rose.

I think a lot of peeps hold the old gold stereotype.

I love full PM now and am pondering a rose Daytona black dial on oysterflex.

so, horses for courses I guess?

I am in my late 30's and like yellow and always have. Rose isn't for me.

In my opinion it has more to do with the complexion and hair color of the wearer.

The white metals just look better on me, while gold, rose gold, copper etc. don't suit me in the least.

Personal preference and for myself depending on the model;
DD or fluted bezel, yellow gold or everose
Ceramic bezel equals white gold.

Last time I checked gold was yellow.

I also like rose gold and Pt.

I like SS and TT.

Not a fan of white gold.

Love YG.

Went though a RG phase for a couple of minutes.

Don't get WG because it looks like SS to me. (Yes, I know people can easily tell it apart, but not me. I've never held a RG or WG watch in my hand.)

It depends on what's in fashion at the time and what's most hyped as many today fashion and hype rules whatever they buy.

White gold looks like steel, very overpriced steel, rose gold is more for women, or if you are inclined towards Russia, only yellow gold. No doubt.

It’s an interesting question Nick.

I tend to think of Everose as a more feminine color … not that men can’t wear it.

I tend to think of Yellow Gold as the original. It’s what I think of when I picture a Day Date, not far from your example.

I tend to think of White Gold and platinum as the sportier alternative. Those that know, know.

don't think wg is age driven, i think it's mostly for people who are into watches and/or probably already have/had colored gold. i honestly don't think i've seen a wg watch in person yet, it seems to only be a huge thing here and not in the real world

the younger crowd tends to favor yg/rg and women seem to favor rose. prefer yg myself when it comes to rolex

Being a hairy, freckled, fair skinned, Irish blooded bloke, WG is the only PM that looks good on me. I also prefer the low key look of WG.

By wearing a yellow gold Rolex I would feel far too senior )) That's why I went for the 126711CHNR. The everose gold just feels so much more subtle and more quiet on my wrist. But I like white gold as well.

This. I'd love to wear yellow or rose gold, but it just looks awful on my complexion (freckly Scotsman), and it's also got that cool, under the radar vibe.

For the most part, I'm the only one who knows I'm wearing white gold. If you wear yellow or rose gold, everyone knows you're wearing gold.

I think current fashions & possibly geographic locations could affect perceptions?

For me full YG is a totally dated look - hello the 70’s / 80’s!
Everose has possibly a more feminine vibe, but is a ‘modern’ colour
WG - don’t see the point of the expense when it pretty much looks like SS

SS & TT win over for me!

I have three TT YG watches which I love. The YG matches well with the SS on the watch and the overall look doesn't appear to be too flashy. As far as a full PM watch goes, I recently purchased a PM Daytona on OF and had to decide between the three. Full YG seemed a bit too flashy, while WG was too subdued. So I went with the RG and just love it! Goes well with my skin tone and offers a bit of flash but not over powering like YG can be. However, there is no right on wrong answer here. Choose what you like best.

rolex rose is too red to me, making it looks more like a copper. I don't like it.

YG can be a bit much, esp if bezel is YG too, RG can be too coppery, so I'm finding TT to hit my spot these days. AP and PP's RG is a nice mix of YG and RG, and AP's new Sand gold looks interesting, a mix of WG and RG. Good to see lots of shades of PM across the brands.

White gold vs yellow gold vs Everose?

I think for Rolex my favorites have been yellow gold. I’m 34. Yellow gold sub specifically. The last thing I’ve ever thought was it was an old man watch or dated.
Haven’t had white gold but I would. I have platinum so no need really.
Have had rose gold and currently have rg Daytona meteorite.
Again, favorite metal for Rolex is yellow.
Least favorite is stainless.
