If you really like the watch and have wanted it then go ahead. Firstly finding one at RRP is great, however, if you are only buying it because you can get it and was never interested in the watch in the first place then I personally would not. I wouldn't ever buy a watch in the current climate just because I could get it.
Also, I don't buy to flip so I wouldn't do it to try and make a profit either.

If it's a watch you genuinely want.
Don't buy just because you can.

I have the same dilemma and been offered this watch few times from my ad at rrp but never pulled the trigger because I felt that it is too huge. Only recently it started growing on me and now I am back on the list for it.

You must not like it, or why would you ask. Do people ask should I buy this car, this house...should I marry this girl...seems odd to me.

If you like it and would get it either way and are just asking if it's worth getting it for MSRP, the answer is obviously yes.

If you plan on getting it as a gift, that depends on whether you think it will be enjoyed by whoever you gift it to.

If you just want it because it is going over retail on grey market, don't get it.

If you can get one then do it, if you don't want it I'll have it.

I had one, a 126660, and swapped it for a Smurf, biggest mistake I ever made.

Is it something you’ve been looking for?

Suggested retail price is the new normal if that’s your question

I have owned several of the black dial DSSD's over the years but had been off the watch for a while. Got caught up in the hype and the dial so I bought a DSSD JC and it stayed about a day or so. Too large for me and I have a 7.5-7.75 wrist. Maybe not the 44 mm, just how it sits on the wrist and even with the new bracelet it did not work for me. It probably would have worked had I not owned the SD43 from release. I would not buy it unless it is a watch you wanted prior to being offered one. The SD43, that is another story.

Can't see why not. Great watch and my personal favorite. If it doesn't work for you it won't cost you much.

I find it comfy , even if its hockey puck sized , just kidding... go for it!

Good choice, congrats. I recently interviewed for a General Counsel position that I ended up not getting. If I would have landed the position I wanted to buy the James Cameron Deepsea for my Father-in-Law who loves big chunky durable watches. Alas, it will have to wait for another day.

Congratulations on the purchase. Hopefully you bought because you wanted it to wear. It’s an amazing timepiece.
