Hope so. I feel like I'm in mirror world whenever I see one.

Who cares what other people think or say? Everyone's got an opinion. When it comes to your watch, your money and your life your opinion is the only one that matters and is as valid as the next person's.

The VTNR is without a doubt one of Rolex's more polarising models, which is good news for the those who want to buy one.

We shall see in a few days !
Even if true can't see Rolex publicly acknowledging this and withdrawing it so soon, maybe they switch to RHD.

Daytona yes, definitely. The YM Ti idk, maybe? I've been to 4 different AD's in my area and they've all said people haven't been asking for the YM Ti. I'd buy one if it depreciates on the gray market the same way the rest of the YM collection does.

In regards to the Ti YM, I think people aren’t clamoring for them because most have completely forgotten about it. I have yet to see you in display let alone on the wrist. How many incomings have we had on TRF? I’m sure it’s happened but I can’t recall.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Given that it’s the only LHD model in the catalog, I think it’d be strange to remove it.

I'd like to see the VTNR discontinued, purely from the perspective that like it or not, it would become a truly legendary watch, something we haven't seen from Rolex for quite some time.
Short production run, obscure and divisive, in time it would become a true collectors piece

See, I don't really understand this logic, it's the only LHD model to have ever been in the catalogue and only technically appeals to a tiny portion of the population - to me, that's a great reason to keep the run short. It's unconventional

FWIW, I think it probably has another year left in it. If it doesn't and goes on to be a permanent piece in the collection ongoing indefinitely, then I fear it's likely to be one of the cheapest GMTs ever on the secondary market - good luck to those who paid well into the 20s for it!

Opinions vary on such a divisive watch .. I own it and love it, over any other GMT, but let’s be honest none of us have a clue what Rolex will do or why, why did they release it in the first place ? Why release the Celebration model ? So left field for a conservative watch company it was unreal … so who knows, buy it wear it love it hate it …

I will be allocated one any day (most likely summer) and can't wait. I also predict it will stay at least a few more years and will NEVER be made for RHD.

I may not remember correctly... but didn't Dufour previously state that the green/black color combo would be exclusive to the lefty?

That’s how I understood it too. I doubt they will release any green/black GMTs in any configuration. Time will tell!.

I’ve seen a number of the “rumors” vids suggesting that the Sprite may go this year, which would make sense. I’m on the list with my AD and really hoping to get one as I’m a southpaw with reasons that green has particular significance, and also someone with a son who is lefty. I’m a bit anxious that it may go away before I top the list. Obviously, we’ll know in a few weeks, but curious what you folks think the odds are.

Cheers and thanks!
It will stay for 3 more years as an LHD. A RHD is to be released at W&W in 2027.

For what it's worth, my AD told me he thinks it's unlikely that (just from a business perspective) Rolex made the investment to produce the Sprite... only to abandon it after a couple of years.

I’m lucky if my AD knows what day of the week it is without having all this insider knowledge … haven’t these ADs put a thread up for what’s to come next week ?

Rolex had done this literally many times only in the last 5 years I started collecting

How many lefties are there in the world?

Rolex is not gonna make 1 for every one of them - they wanna keep the premium

It has to go

Let’s hope it goes as Rolex won’t keep that many variations of the SS GMT in their catalogue.
