DAVIDSW sale postings not showing up in searches…?

For some reason, none of DAVIDSW's threads in the Classifieds section are showing up for me when doing a search.

Case in point, I remembered that about a week ago, David posted a thread about a 16570 that meets my criteria and I've been considering contacting him about it. I wanted to pull up the thread and drool over the photos as I continued to contemplate. I did a simple search with "16570" as the keyword. Naturally, I got a list with many results, however, none were his thread. In fact, I did some other test searches and realized that none of his threads appear in a search. Is having his threads show in a search perhaps a function he disabled? I just want to make sure the "error" is not on my end

Thanks guys

Hmm…just noticed peetnik posted a similar question here (ironically also citing a search for a 16570 as an example). No conclusion there, but I'll follow powerfunk's suggestion and include site:rolexforums.com using Google.

I don't know what you are doing to undertake a search but if you do a regular search all of the relevant threads will display including all of DavidSW's threads.

Here is what you do:
1. Go to the forum you wish to search.
2. Along the top horizontal menu bar you will see on the far right hand side "Search this forum".
3. Click on "Search this forum" and a drop down box will apear.
4. Type or paste into the drop down box "16570" or an appropriately named search term.
5. Click on search for threads.
6. A list of the relevant threads will be displayed.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly how I have been searching, but for some reason, David's posts never show for me(both on my personal computer at home as well as my machine at the office).

Here's the listing/post I was referring to:
http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=362915

David posted it on July 19th and bumped it on the 21st. I've attached a screenshot of the search results after entering 16570 as the keyword. As you can see, the thread doesn't show. Might just be a bug, not sure.

There is no bug, the search facility works for me and I do see DavidSW's threads.
Perhaps DavidSW has blocked you, in other words you are on his 'ignore' list.

Happy days

I just put in DavidSW in advanced search and every single one of his listings came up in perfect order by date! You clearly are not doing it right.

I would recommend just having David on speed dial! 👍 It's bound to happen anyhow!

By the way.....what on earth is your avatar? I'm going to have nightmares after seeing that! 😳
