so this just happened..

Went to my AD to pick up a 5167 they just received, but walked out getting a 5146.

It kind of just sang to me, but the wife is going to kill me.

Was this a good decision?

Probably my favourite annual calendar. Love that slate grey dial. Definitely worth any potential time in the doghouse.

Congrats!

Congrats, it's a great watch! Just ignore the posts about how fabulous the 5167 is.
We all need a next one, and the 5167 can be your next one!

What's the worst she can do? Send you to the dog house? Hah! I live in the doghouse 24/7 anyway, so what difference does it make!

Right after writing this post my wife came down and berated me for her iPhone charger disappearing. I didn't take it, one of the kids probably did, but it's my fault anyway...

Has your wife killed anyone else before? If shes experienced in that field then it may have been a REALLY bad idea Stunning Patek man congratulations.

What happens in vegas stays in vegas, or buried.

Congrats! First step......figure out how to set the correct day, month and date! You have a winner there.....good luck with the wifey.....perhaps she needs an Aquanaut Luce to calm her nerves.

thanks everyone!!

the guy that always helps me at this AD was with another customer, so i had time to ogle at the watches and eventually try some on. first it was the 5270 (not in the budget, but always fun to try), then 5205, then 5146, then 5167, then back to 5146, then i didn't want to take it off. the slate gray dial was just too gorgeous; i had to have it in my life. the original plan was to pick up the 5167, then a VC traditionelle as a x-mas present, but i went with the less is more approach.

i did come up with a few excuses to tell the wifey, we'll see how that goes. =)
