Another Policeman's Murde

If you don't want to hear about another "hero's murder" then stop reading RIGHT HERE and find another thread.

After I posted last weeks thread, I'm almost hesitant to post this but I'm not
going to let a few certain a**holes stop me.

Rest in Peace, Officer Sean Bolton. May your family find some measure of peace and comfort. Thank you for your service and for trying to protect us.

Rest well my brother, we'll take it from here. May your family, brothers and sisters find peace.

To all my brother and sister officers please remember there is never, ever such a thing as a "routine" call. I'd be delighted to never have to don that class A uniform again.

Ken, thank you for posting. As we spoke about on Friday morning I don't think that the posting of this type of horrible event on TRF will take on the negativity of that last thread without having those negative responses acted upon quickly by the great mods here.

Totally agree, Tim! Our moderators do excellent job of "taking out the trash" when necessary.

Also, thank you for posting the link. I copied it but forgot to put it into the thread.

I love the reflection from a fellow officer in the link from Tim.
"May God Bless and watch over Officer Bolton's family and friends. Go with God my Brother, we WILL locate your killer and justice will be done.

Police Officer James Bragg
Greenville City Police, Greenville, SC
August 2, 2015"

Fingers crossed that they catch this scum. RIP Officer Bolton.

LEO's are at a disadvantage now! They cannot react fast enough because they are afraid of the backlash, while the perps do not care. It gives them street cred.

That's an interesting theory. There have been around 65 cops killed each year by gunfire for the past decade - this year one stat says just 18 so far. It may actually be a record low this year, let's hope so.

https://www.odmp.org/search/year/2015

Number of citizens killed in encounters with the police so far is 674.

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/n...s-us-database#

I lament all these deaths and hope the perpetrator of the murder in the OP is brought to justice. I hope that this killing was not in any way precipitated by the publicity in the last week surrounding Officer Ray Tensing's murder charge and the false reports filed by him and his colleagues.
