I don’t love the red and blue. Plus there is so much going around about problems with its bezel. I would go subLV.

I keep saying this but I'm truly fortunate. We became friends during early COVID lockdown times and would host our own little meetups because we lived in a city with heavy restrictions on gathering and lots of places closed to the public, etc. We've remained friends ever since and although he out earns me by a huge margin and has a much larger collection of watches, never acts like he's too important or busy. Interestingly enough, we both relocated to south Florida within a year of each other also. Truly a friend for life and an overall awesome guy - I suppose it helps our wives are friends as well.

Both are hot watches, but you should decide based on your interests in air or sea, as each has it's heritage. Pepsi is still the hardest to get and more exclusive. Maybe swing both in a package deal if possible. Surprised they're being sold. Make sure you're comfortable with the authenticity, although that would touchy. Good luck in your choice. Cheers!

Pepsi is much harder to get, so based on that, that is what I would go for.

I'd get the Pepsi and No Date at those bargain basement prices! I take it your friend is the Mattress King from Friends and he's slashing prices as everything must go by midnight!

Or if he is getting sectioned under the Mental Health Act for delusions then I take it all back and wish him a speedy recovery.

It seems you have reasoned that the Pepsi is the best watch for you, but in your heart you want a Sub. If that’s the case, just go for it, and ignore the financial advice. You already have a Datejust that you love for work, and the Starbucks is also a special model. You’ll have something to keep with a great memory of having this stroke of luck. You’ll have none of that if you’ll buy the Pepsi and then sell it later.

pepsi is the better watch in my view from functionality as well as asthetics perspective.

If you want a little less bling go for sub.

I’d buy them all and consolidate them myself to potentially make a little, if you know someone that you can push them on to

Regarding price, I spoke with him last night and got an idea of what he's thinking. Admittedly, I was so excited about the opportunity that I said I'd take one off his hands without even asking about prices, but this is where we landed:

124060 - $8K
126610LV - $11.5K
126710BLRO - $12.5K

To me, even though they're all a touch beyond MSRP, it's beyond reasonable given the current market. I've always desired a Sub but it seems like picking up the BLRO makes more sense within the context of this scenario. We're planning to meet up either Friday or sometime this weekend so I can handle everything in person and make a final decision. I'll be sure to update this thread with pictures once I have something new on my wrist.
The 124060 is not a touch beyond MSRP as MSRP is $9,100. Then, consider the addition of sales tax.

GMT
It’s more rare, works for your profession (these are “professional watches,” after all) and can handle your water activities above 330 feet underwater.

You can find a sub much more easily than a Pepsi, even though it’s a classic. I’m not a fan of the green watches so my opinion is a bit biased on not wanting that watch.

Easily the Pepsi. You’re not going to dive deep enough recreationally to get beyond its limits in the water and it’s much more practical for travel.

No date Sub. Classic and stylish. Fits your lifestyle.

You can do time zones in your head very easily, negating a GMT.

Yeah do not forget sales tax. He's basically selling them to you well below market. The BLRO is the easy decision it's like $8+k below market price, the Sub is only $3k below market price.

The 126710BLRO! With 100 meters water resistance and the two time zone complication it's the obvious choice.
