The making of a WIS
Got my soon to turn 3 year old (This Monday 29th) his first watch, a Swatch Flik Flak (http://www.flikflak.com/en/, got to know is a subsidiary of the Swatch Group), hoping he too will begin to love timepieces, especially vintage ones, in the years ahead.
The first thing he did at the Swatch showroom when he decided he liked the Flik Flak is hold it to his ear and listen if it ticks just like his dads 1680 does, driving us all including the sales girl into peals of laughter(he makes it a point to listen to the ticking of my 1680 once in a while and has guessed the hour hand has the Mercedes logo on it by himself, from his craziness about cars). Guess he's a good candidate for WISdom:).

Very nice. These watches are very sturdy (both you pictured). My son grew up with similar model I found few years back in Germany.
He just graduated to first G-Shock few weeks back. Looks like yours is on similar path ;-). |

My 4 year old is in training too He is allowed to play with my Seiko's
I have a GMTc with his birth year serial. If he is a good boy for the next 17 years (and believe me from today's behavior it will never happen ) he may have a nice surprise.

That's what I call solid parenthood, Cruvon, Paul.
My son is turning 12 next week and will be graduating to his second G-Shock. His favorite in my current lineup is a Rail 1665. My daughter, 10, prefers gilt dials. I guess they're both on the right track, at least from a horology standpoint..... although my wife might not agree. Cheers. |

Thanks Paul, Drainpas. @Paul:Great to hear that and that birth year GMTc will surely be the horological topping for your son. @drainaps: Cool, your son and daugter have great taste already.
