Any mans watch with diamonds (plural, a single diamond a la Movado Museum can be classy. I'm not into obvious blind, prefer understated and classy.
Very proud to see my Rolex (Milgauss GV) featured so prominently on the "least favorite" list. Nice boost to my non-comformist credentials. |

Besides the rainbow and leopard Daytonas, I'd have to say the DSSD & Sky Dweller. They aren't repugnant, vomit-inducing, or any of the other polarizing adjectives that have been used around here - I just prefer them less than the others.

Really? If you guys had the option to own a YMII/Daytona/Sky Dweller/or DSSD, you'd all take a Cellini, Date, or Air King over one of these? I'll say it... liars.

Well, I would take the YMII, Sky Dweller or DSSD. I like them all, especially the second two. But not the Daytona, which I guess is why it got my vote. It's just not the watch for me.

SS Daytona, maybe, but some of the gold dials are awesome! As Chris asked, you would honestly pick a Cellini/Date/Air King over a Daytona? Price/availability being equal? I also call your bluff..

Not a big fan of the Milgauss. Lightning bolt second hand not very elegant.

When I see the lightening bolt second hand on the Milgauss I get nauseous. Milgauss is the winner

Not wanting to knock other people's watches, but as the question keeps being pressed, it's a watch I just wouldn't wear. Therefore it would be pointless buying it at any price.

Funny enough, I would be more willing to genuinely believe this than believe someone would pick an AK over Daytona for the same price. I know everyone has their own taste and I'm not knocking the AK, it's just that the Daytona is so much more watch in every way. Each to their own I guess..

I do concede that if an AK was the price of a Daytona it would be over-priced so I would by neither (but would prefer the AK). If the Daytona was reduced to the price of an AK I would buy the AK. This is about preference, not which is "more watch" (which the Daytona obviously is - no doubt). As you say, each to their own. I just don't get why you don't "genuinely believe" that this is my view.

I really dislike the Milgauss but I can't say I would select an AK over it, price being equal. |
