Mate it's actually not a fake, I've seen a lot of these done in the USA already, the donor watch is a gen, then they install the blue dial and bezel insert, I know for a fact Anaheim jewellers have done half a dozen of these and no I'm not affiliated with them or the eBay bloke.

If it says Rolex on the dial, and it's not made by Rolex, then it's a fake.

You mean the Dial is aftermarket and the watch is GEN so if a person say whats a MOP dial installed on the Rolex, and a very reputable jeweller does it, then is it a fake watch ? No it isnt , i've seen jewellers on 5th Avenue that have highly modified dials and Rolex's with diamonds and all sorts

To me a fake is something that come out of China but its all a matter of opinion.

Also noticed the reference number is still 116619. Fake, uncool, illegal.

I don't care how reputable the jeweller is, and neither would Rolex. If it's made to look like a Rolex dial, with the name on the dial, it's a fake. And an RSC wouldn't touch it. Doesn't matter what country it comes from.

Remember MOST people buy a Rolex to show off that they have a Rolex, they don't give a toss about the craftsmanship and history. It's only us happy few that everything about the watch...

And those people wouldn't mind buying a watch that LOOKS like a more expensive watch...

No, it's not a matter of opinion. The law is very clear. This is a fake, hence, illegal.
