Not all "Z" series are COSC.

I bought my non-COSC Z series in April of this year from an AD.
Serial Z119_ _ _ . I'm assuming it was one of the last non-COSCs produced.

My current SubND is my second. I bought my first in about 1996 or 1997 but could not do without the date. My cellphone was the size of a cinderblock and I didn't imagine they would get so small or so required for my line of work. Now that I have a device that shows the date, I was happy to unload my 16610 for the ND. I love having such a clean dial option to my DJ and my GMT.

I am new to this forum and am interested in buying my first Rolex. The ND Sub is the one that I am really drawn to. This will be my first Sub. Reviews like this really get the lust going!

Hi all been lurking for a while now, this is my first post in this forum. I want to say what a great review. I purchased my ND new on 15/7/11 (G Serial). I would like to comment on the bracelet. It feels light yes, it feels cheap sort of, but when you look at it and check out the quality and workmanship it is to a very high standard and makes the watch very comfortable to wear. I feel very confident that it is not going to break apart any time soon. Oh, by the way the watch is awesome to wear and I love it.

Cheers

14060M Bracelet

The bracelet on the 14060M is a big time winner. In the field.

This style bracelet is the only kind that I've ever known.

I bought my first Rolex in 1985. It was a GMT Master II "Fat Lady" with the same bracelet.

I wore it all over Central and South America while in the U.S. Army. Rarely took it off. Wore it on operations in Bolivia while burning down Cocaine labs. Wore it in the jungles of Panama. Made many jumos with it. Wenth thriugh Jumpmaster scool with it. Went swimming and snorkling with it.

The watch and the bracelet were perfect.

In particular, the bracelet, which is both comfortable and durable.

No complaints.

Wow!! That' s alot of life experience you had with your watch.

I have a few questions:

Has it ever been serviced?

Did not having a date bugged you during all these time?

How often did you need to reset the time?

Lastly, can we see a pic of that watch that has been through it all??

Cheers!!

Im looking for a 14060, but seems like the COSC are rarer..

For me I like the looks of the non COSC, but i LOVE the look of the COSC... just those words seem to fill the empty space.

How much more can I expect to pay for a COSC version over a non ?

The COSC are "rarer" because they are newer and less have been manufactured (probably).

All else being the same...and assuming they are both used...there won't be very much difference between the price in the COSC and non-COSC.

14060M..me likey

Hi,

I bought my first rolex back in 2007...a DJ 116234 with blue dial...i love the watch...and wore it every day since....

Then last 2 weeks...i bought the 14060M and feel it much nicer becoz of the sporty look....i don't mind the ND because my DJ has that already....

Overall, i love my 14060M and i think it's the best looking Rolex ever... :D

Great review...do you wish they upgraded the bracelet to the sel? I wonder if it makes noise the same way as some of the older models?

I have no special knowledge. I'm just guessing. But Basel 2012 might be a good time for Rolex to introduce a ceramic Sub No-Date.
