Icon20 Breitlung Navitimer 01 Query

Hi folks,

I have only very recently purchased my first Navitimer 01 (43 mm). I absolutely adore the watch but have a quick query that perhaps some of you guys could answer:
On the silver/metallic heads between which the leather strap is held, their seems to be a very well set in plastic covering that is very hard to see unless you really hold the watch up close to your eye and look for it. On my watch which is now only about five weeks old, there is a very slight lifting on one of the four heads where I can see the plastic is rising only very slightly, in fact it's barely visible. I am not sure whether this plastic layer should be left on as a protective layer against scratching or whether you are meant to take it off completely when you purchase the watch?

Hopefully some of you know what I am talking about and I don't sound like a rambling idiot !!

Thanks in advance for any reply,

Navi Fan

Welcome to TRF and congratulations on your new Navitimer.

All plastics on the watch case, bracelet (when there is one) and clasp are meant to be taken off when you buy the watch. I say pull it off and enjoy it.

Oh no! Don't take it off! You'll lose all of your blinker fluid.
