Gentleman what are your thoughts on this timepiece? How is the movement? Is it a scratch magnet? I think it's beautiful. I'm seriously considering getting one. I'd love to hear your opinions first. Thanks!!!!

Very comfortable watch easy to wear and for being so simple has an amazing dial with great depth. Pretty much a go anywhere do anything watch. I would still have mine if the 5712 wasn't calling my name!

I think it's a great sports Patek. Main issue over here is getting one. I prefer the 5164 tho, better size for me and more complicated dial.

I love the gold which I got, but the SS is very nice, very comfy and even in gold very under the radar, at this point it's probably a keeper

Great versatile watch. I don't know of any watch with a metal case that doesn't scratch. So I wouldn't focus on that too much.
It is a very casual watch and won't get any "oohs and aaahs" from other people. However if you are looking for a comfortable, light weight, under the radar watch, then this would be the perfect watch! |

It's an understated watch that fits my lifestyle. Works great as a first Patek, or even as a more casual/wearable piece for a PP seasoned collector.

Yes, the bezel, case and deployant are scratch magnets, but who cares? I think it is a great connoisseur piece. Buy it right and you won't lose money.

Great watch but try to at least sample a 5167r or 5167A first. Seems many are let down by the thin case and overall presence. I thoroughly enjoyed mine and would like to add another Aqua down the line if they add a chrono maybe...

It's a nice watch, no doubt. I'd echo how stealth mode it is

1A is the SS bracelet, right? If so, then I prefer the A / Tropical rubber. At least in pictures. Never seen a 1A in person.
But I love this watch. It's such a personal piece. No one notices it at all, it just instills more of a quiet confidence. The 324 movement's the work horse for PP in my limited knowledge (nautilus, calatrava). As for scratches, obviously the rubber is great for those who die a little with every accidental knock. |

To say I love my 5167 would be an understatement. I've tried a lot of watches in my time but I always keep coming back to it. Thin, light, understated, and extremely versatile. With it's flat bezel it is definitely a scratch magnet but I wouldn't worry about it. Just buy it and enjoy it!

I love the watch - supremely comfortable, very versatile, and under the radar. I'd still have one if I didn't trade it towards a 5164

I bought the 5164 for a little more wrist presence. It is easily my favorite go to watch. I wear it for days and hardly realize I have a watch on. It is a keeper for me.
I am sure the 5167 wears very much the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most comfortable watch I ever owned. Pictures don't do it justice, but the dial is mesmerizing.

I absolutely love the Aquanaut. I tried on a 5164/A today and was completely smitten. Most likely my next PP.

Prefer the 64 for the added heft and complication. Just an easy, suave, and understated watch to wear. But yes, the bezel picks up scratches fairly easily.

I also love my 5167, the perfect everyday Patek. By far the most comfortable watch I own.

Lightweight, versatile, goes with any attire. Probably my favorite and most worn watch.

Owned it (twice). I love how easy it is to read and the weight is fantastic.
The downside, for me, was the size. It just never sang to me from that perspective. It's hard to go wrong with it if you find the size suitable. |

When you say size are your referring to how thin / flat the watch is or also the diameter too?

I am in the minority (again!!) I never liked the 5164 and was easy decision to flip out the 116655 for the 5167 and put the cash in my pocket (was that the correct choice? Jury still out in that!) however I thought the 5164R was gorgeous and that could tempt me. Great lightweight watch - no regrets!

love the simplicity of the Aqua, never own one maybe at some point I should Looks awesome , when I had my 5712/1a my issue was that it felt so light weighted that bother me. So I always thought if I ever get an Aqua I would get the 5167R (I can't justify getting a 5164 just for the sake of thickness, specially if I am not crazy about the dial layout). But if you have no issues with a light weighted watch I see no reason to don't buy it. Actually it has a lot positives, good retention value (just buy right, like any other), good water resistance, under the radar, dress up and down. As far as scratches like others have said, it is doomed to happen; just don't wear it like a Sub because is not,
Good luck mate Cheers

I traded my SDc for a 5167A and not had a moments doubt.
It fits my wrist like a glove and I have no concerns regarding its robustness, for what I shall use it for.
