under the same conditions definitely prefer the old model but looks good vintage paul newman two colors, the case is polished and therefore would no doubt choose the new model . then this is already history, the first daytona platinum.

On the platinum if they had done all brown subdials with the Paul Newman style subdial markings, a brown outer ring on the dial and a slightly domed sapphire crystal then the platinum daytona would have been a nod to the past but a new direction for future and would have been a clear winner even dare I say it over the older Paul Newman - but Rolex year after year continually dissapoint and cannot get into their heads to use great design over shiny shiny sparkly sparkly design on all their watches - but it's what we all have come to expect from Rolex - sorry for the rant but Rolex need to up their design and creativity.

Saw the platinum at the Wynn the other day. Its drop dead gorgeous with an equally deadly price tag.
If we were going on just the qualities of both watches and price was a non factor. PT |

Actually, your question sounded like they are free to everyone... which one will you take? Haha... But it's a good comparison and i respect your research. |

PN merely because I would keep it at my home as art. I am not a daytona fan so I am not burning to put either on my wrist.
