Tried on both this and the new WG sub not too long ago. It's certainly different from the Subs of old, but not too bad actually.

My friend who has the YG Sub is thinking about trading it in for a new one

I'm not much of a Yellow Gold guy (I prefer Platinum... ) but I'd wear it!

How much is it in US dollar? Or Singapore dollar? Any idea? Well, I don't really like the blue dial. Something missing compare with the old bluesy.

I tried on the white gold sub recently and thought it was fabulous. You have to see the shade of blue in person; pictures don't get it right.

I just saw the new 18kt yellow gold last week at an AD and was utterly disappointed. The blue is not nearly as deep as it's been in years past, and I don't think you can see that in the pictures posted on this thread. Makes me very happy that I own the old model as well as the DeepSea I just picked up.

Some people at Rolex should get glasses - or checked for colour correctness!!!

That´s not cobalt blue, but as I said: Rolex is protecting the value of earlier versions ( "Bluesy" ).

Wish I had one.

I anticipated that move with the GMT II, and got mine.

Anticipated it correctly this time, too, but no money to "move".

Bad luck.

Hermann

P.S.: will get a DJ II, if the dial comes out, that I want!

P.S.2: will get a pre loved Bluesy, if price and condition are correct!

Still prefer the blue of the older tt model, but that YG sub is still damn nice! Thanks for sharing!

Wouldn't trade the old blue for the new. Smurf blue doesn't do it for me as i think the old cobalt blue is one of the best I have ever seen on any watch or any brand. JMHO, others will vary.

Too bad the color is not the same. But hey, at least it comes with the upgrades.

JJ ,the gentleman with the pics here seems to think that the 2009 TT sub does NOT have the flat sky blue that we have seen on lo these many other pics. His rather poor photos seem to contradict this. Having seen the watch yourself, is it your statement that we are going to be stuck with this lackluster flat blue on the TT and NOT just on the white gold.....Too bad certainly if true !

Stunning blue, don't let anyone tell you differently. One of the most understated elegant watches out there.
