Hey Dalip, I can't make this GTG either as I'm flying back from Spain that Sunday. But would be good to meet up one of the following weekends if you're around. I think there are a few of us in the same position so let's see......

Sorry I've not been posting so much lately chaps (work commitments and a hopefully iminent house move) but chuffed to see you're all well and keeping the thread moving and even happier to learn of the new faces attending!

I've not made dinner reservations yet (sorry! ) so just checking before I do.....

Is everyone ok with The Mala?

And any idea who'll still be around at that time??

If you've seen any of my relatively recent posts, you might have noticed my brief mention of my mother being poorly. Well, sadly she's been diagnosed with ovarian cancer which seems to have spread. I'm not sure yet what her prognosis is, but I'm visiting her daily in hospital and then visiting my dad to make sure he's OK. With all the dashing around and the stress of the situation, I'm absolutely knackered. I've been looking forward to catching up with you all for weeks, but I'm not sure whether I'm going to be able to make the GTG now, I'm sorry to say. I was all set to WOW you with my Tudor Ranger, as well!

The situation is fluid so I'll see how things go over the day or two, and perhaps I could still manage see you in the Dickens for a couple of hours - I'd really like to. I'll let you know...

I'm sure you understand but apologies in any case.

no need to apologize mate, I have been in a similar situation earlier this year with my mother, thankfully the results have been positive so far for her.

We are all thinking of you and your family and we can catch up at Salon QP in Nov.

Thanks Paul. I'm very glad to hear your mother is OK.

Since I posted earlier, I received a call from the consultant to get the full details. Probably best summarised as "she's too weak for chemo" and in terms of timescales "let's just take one month at a time". Not the best news...

As for Saturday, it's due to be scorchingly hot so in case I'm not there to remind you all, make sure you keep your fluids up...!!!

Sorry to hear about your mom Adam! I do hope everything turns out to be ok again soon.
I have be bring bad news too, I am affraid. Still at work (and working late again today) so, not sure I will be able to make London tomorrow. So sad about it, it will be the first GTG in years that I am not there
I hope I can make it to the November GTG and Salon QP, but I have seen, it will be held a week later as normal, in the weekend of the 15 of November now. That's King's Day in Belgium, which is extremely busy for me too (another ) Can't promise anything, but will do me very best!!!
I am missing you guys

Hi Adam, sorry to hear about your mum. Hope things turn out the best they can.

As a result of a last minute change of plans it looks like I will be able to make it to the Dickens tomorrow afternoon
