CK2998 Available

Not sure how these are selling, or if they are a desired model.

That said, my boutique contacted me to let me know they have one available.

If anyone wants one, please let me know ASAP and I will try and secure it for you.

Got the same email Seth. Unfortunately, the second hand market on these is soft. Not sure there'll be too many takers on here.

Too bad. It's a nice watch. I was hoping to help them sell it.

Take a look at the FS section here and on other forums. Many are going LNIB for under $6k. Others are just sitting without selling. I love my CK and reserved mine early, but buying now from an OB at full retail doesn't make sense.

Interesting. I've gone to a couple Omega boutiques and ADs here in Paris, and was laughed out of the building each time I asked about buying a CK...

Nice watch. But Omega made far too many of them.

So many in inventory at AD's, OB's, and GM dealers, still. :(

I make a guess that they will not be available for long. Isn't it limited to 2998 pieces?

Cool watch, not at retail.

My AD just dropped Omega as the GM got so bad it was hard to sell a new one for less than 40% off to anyone with an internet connection.

It is. But some would argue that's 1000 pieces more than the market could bear.

You can get them brand brand new for under MSRP, which is unusual for Omega LE's.

I've had the same reaction from a number of boutiques in large cities. Must depend on the market. From what I've seen and heard, they sell pretty soon after arriving at a boutique...

To be honest i thought they would have sold out by now.

Strange. Not in the US.

In the US, I was offered a brand new one (either in stock, or incoming) by every AD and OB I've spoken to. (Three different OB locations.)

Including some stores that I've never ever done business with.

Very strange.

They're also available at several GM dealers online, and at many Forum Trusted Sellers (many below MSRP).

Great looking watch but 2998 pieces is by no means limited or rare. This is a a very cool piece it is just a shame Omega has to have so many so called limited editions which really waters down the brand and takes away from releases such as the ck2998

Yes, the market is soft on the CK. Although disappointing for someone who bought early with the intention of making a few bucks (definitely not my case), I really can't grasp why that is a bad thing for the vast majority of watch lovers. The watch is more widely available for those who want to get one and enjoy, which is great in my view.

If exclusivity was important for me, I could never enjoy my subs, which are perhaps my favorite watches.

A couple of pics of this beauty, just because it's Speedy Tuesday:

It is sitting in the window at Tourneau here in the DC area if anyone wants one. The boutique called me several times trying to sell me one at MSRP. No thanks.

I love my CK, but it isn't a big seller and I didn't pay MSRP. Might be due to its release so soon after the craziness that was the Silver Snoopy. If every other release is an LE, then it cheapens the "exclusivity" of having an LE.

Like the guy in Paris, I was surprised shortly after it was released that my local Omega AD said they were sold out and had a waiting list when other ADs had several in stock at a discount. Distribution problem, maybe?

In any event, I think it's a gorgeous watch that I intend on keeping for a long time.
