Icon20 Is this Hulk Rolex fake? Or seller trust worthy?

Hello Fellow Members,

I have been a long time admirer of the Rolex brand. I unfortunately have not had the capital to acquire a Rolex till now. I am absolutely in love with the 116610LV series aka "The Hulk". I found an amazing deal online and would love to know 2 things: Has anyone used this seller before? Is this a fake?

I am concerned because this is my 1st Rolex purchase and the dealer is overseas.

I would greatly appreciate any information this forum and it's members could provide.

The facts are this:
-the seller is Castello Watches. He has a twitter feed and a store front through Storenvy and is located in Germany. It appears he sells other more expensive watches.
-I have already put down a $500 deposit and will be sending the remainder of the payment with in the week.
-Here is a link to photos of the watch

https://www.storenvy.com/products/17...-date-116610lv

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Happy Holidays!

Never like these too good to be true website/sellers. Something smells fishy.

49% of retail is a steal! As they say here on TRF . Buy the seller not the watch. I'd pass.

Why would any retail / online store sell anything well below market price? What would they have paid for the watch initially? The whole just doesn't add up.

I appreciate your help. I thought chrono24 was a reputable website. Its news to hear that they scam as well.

I know it sounds like a scam. My heart really wanted it to be real. I finally found the watch I wanted at a price I can afford.

At least I only lost $500. I am going to contact my credit card company and file a complaint..

Does anyone have any advice for when I do purchase? Any trusted sellers out there? I fell like the only way I can guarantee it is buy it from an AD.

Again, thanks for your help

The seller wrote in the ad, that he has a business, both in Germany and Latvia!

If you pay him, using Paypal, you should be able to get your money back, if this show to be a scam....

You can rescan him, there is no warnings on this name...

You're in the US, there are plenty of reputable and trusted sellers on the FS section. To name a few, Davidsw, Takuya, Sohais, and many others. Also, check the "Who's who" section. Like you must know already, buy the seller first, then the watch.

Thank you everyone who helped me out.

End result, my Credit Card disputes the card and took it off my bill. Thankfully I was not on the hook for the intial $500 deposit.

$4300 seemed liked and amazing deal. Now I just have to save another $5000 and purchase the hulk from a trustworthy seller.

Thanks everyone!

Good move, OP! I love the site's motto about "...the world's most awesome indie brands."

Be careful out there! :0)

You cannot buy a Rolex (new or used) for 50% off. This is how most people get scammed for a loss. As the old saying goes, 'if it seems too good to be true....'
There are plenty reputable watch sellers here. I bought my very first luxury watch here last June. Check the 'Who's who' section here for member feedback.

I was about to buy TWO Rolexes from them and found this thread. Glad I have not sent payment even though I would have been protected by Paypal. That Hulk Sub is still available 3 months later so just that to me screams SCAM (was going to get 2 other ones). How can the site still be up? Was there any reply from the seller after the chargeback? Any info would be appreciated.

This would be the steal of the century if it was real. It looks good in the pics but, well, the ost popular watches in the world will never sell at a 49% discount...
