A solar powered G-Shock really is the way to go. No maintenance required, and durable as heck. I used to sell them at a sporting goods store 20 years ago, and I'd demo them to customers by grabbing an end of the strap and slamming the watch head onto the counter very hard. Barely a scratch.
Of course, if we're talking nuclear winter without sunlight, then I'd probably go with my Explorer II, although a simple F-91 with a 10+ year battery may be a wise choice. |

I'm thinking of a Fitbit on the other wrist so I k w how many calories I burn bashing zombies or doing a runner if there's too many of them.

Having survived escape and evasion training in jungle school, I can tell you to skip the Fitbit and just eat whenever the opportunity arises. You should get plenty of exercise once the petrol runs out.

Undoubtedly this, why:
1) its my only watch 2) it has the day and date very helpful is a world where I am not going to work each day 3) it weights truck loads can be used as both a hammer and in directly throwing at someone. 4) it has no lume so won't attract attention at night. 5) it remains under the radar, as Archie would say stealth wealth, still handy in a post apocolypto world. 6) Its an oyster case! Oh and I would also put my AD and others on my bug out tour to beef up my supply, and get those Daytona ceramics out of the safe..........
