Finally joined the club - 5513 Sub!
Having lusted for a classic 2 line Sub for a very long time, I finally decided on a nice and clean '68 (23***** series) 5513 Submariner. Its also my first Rolex, and I am still in awe over the classic lines of this watch. In short, now I see what all the fuss is about
I find it looks great on a bracelet, but equally at home on a nice NATO; leather or nylon. And just to prove it, I'll hit you all with an avalanche of pictures And wearing some excellent Crown and Buckle NATO straps: Apologies for all the pictures, I do tend to get carried away! Thor |

Thank you all so much for the kind words! I should add that watch is a result of many hours browsing through this excellent forum - not sure I'd dare purchase a vintage 5513 without the knowledge I found here!
brandrea: That is a great looking MF! Thor |

I love it. Nato straps keep things fresh.

Those older Subs are much more appealing than the new ones.
Not that I don't like the new ones, but the sleeker ones are better looking. |

Again, thank you all for the kind words!
I'm still exploring the versatility of this watch; today I found out that it also works on a Omega curved-end rubber strap.. Thor |

That ^ looks amazing. Nice way to change it up! Great piece also. Patina on lume is awesome. Just started really looking into these yesterday.
