I know it's preseason but my Eagles are not too shabby looking.

What are the odds? It should be interesting to see the Cowboys start Prescott and Elliot. Even though I hate the Cowboys.

No they are not. First team vs first team game was not even close. We sat quite a few starters but it was ugly. Fed us our lunch tonight. Colts fans here but we always shit the preseason bed so I am not worried, yet.

The Vikings new stadium (US Bank) looks pretty good on TV. Not like watching a game indoors, at least during day games. San Diego game currently on Fox, first football game at venue.

A lot of issues with congestion in the concourses during events, so $1.2B doesn't buy what it used to, apparently. Will check it out sometime this season.

In the meantime, GO PACK GO!

Anyone in the market for a backup QB? Sanchez is done in Denver.

I was thinking the same thing, the cowboys need someone in case Dak gets hurt. Denver only owes Sanchez $1mm if they cut him, $4.5m if he makes the team

They don't need to be healthy to take the north. The Lion's look horrible, the Vike's mediocre, and I booed the Bears on NFL Game Pass this week (they just lack talent in too many places).

We also get to keep that 7th round draft pick as well. Doesn't make much sense to keep him anymore.

Get ready to boo more often, local media isn't even on board with the Bears

I didn't think it possible for Cutler to be worse than two years ago, after making progress with Gase last year, but he managed to exceed expectations once again.

How about the Colt having to pull Luck because he was getting killed out there, how could that franchise not have the best 5 O-lineman money could buy

I'd bring up the Kaepernick stuff, but then this thread would be locked

Luck will be on IR by week 15. The Colts are idiots for not building a killer O-line to protect Luck.

I think Gabbert has locked the job now, so Kap is largely irrelevant. I don't see him getting up to speed before the regular season, he didn't have much trade value before the preseason, and backups just aren't front page news in the regular season. I think the only story for Kap is whether he'll have any trade value if he can show something in the rest of preseason.

His contract alone, makes him all but impossible to trade.

True. A $16M cap hit is a tough pill to swallow.

The idea of him or Sanchez being trade worthy is laughable.

Elway thought he saw something in Sanchez. Teams seem to see a glimmer of hope in the strangest places. But nobody wants to import somebody else's distraction unless the upside is huge.

Jerry Jones signed Greg Hardy knowing he was a locker room nutcase before his domestic violence troubles, and a huge distraction after. You just can't predict the level of pain a team is willing to endure to fill a hole in their scheme.

Bridgewater's injury certainly changes the outlook for the NFC Central.
Packers would have to be the prohibitive favorite, now.

Truly unfortunate about Bridgewater. The Vikes were setting up to have a decent chance. It really makes the Packers road to the playoffs a bit easier.

The teams' reaction was... weird. A key guy got hurt, but it's not like Peterson (THE guy) went down or there was a fatality. Cancelling practice and mourning... over the top nonsense.

Shaun Hill isn't a starter. They will be looking elsewhere for options, maybe Kap or Sanchez have a shot at a starting position after all.

Bummer for Bridgewater and the Vikings. Hate to see that happen to a team that was making strides.

Yea. Wow. I just read this. He was ready for a true breakout season. Man the Vikings are hard luck.

The Vikes were hoping for a breakout season. He had trouble with the long ball, which stifled their offense last year. His game needed to grow quite a bit to have a real breakout season.

If you're going to get a torn ACL, this is the time of year to do it. He'll have a full year to recover and won't miss any of next season.

Their QB dislocates a knee and tears an ACL, that's worthy of morning IMHO

Zim said they were "grieving". That's crazy talk IMO.

It's not like Bridgewater was a playmaker. They were hoping he might become one, but he had yet to show that he was more than an average game manager. The Vikes could plug a couple guys into that slot and do well this season. It's not even in the same universe as the Pats losing Brady, and Belichick didn't grieve over the injury.
