I think you are right. Dak Prescott looks capable enough. That O-line will keep him upright too.

I thought the reaction in MN to Bridgewater was over the top also. He was a game manager at best. The Vikings and the fans convinced themselves that this year he would turn into Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. So they were projecting expectations on the guy, and reacting like Johnny Unitas just went down.

That didn't take long.

Vikings traded for Sam Bradford. Hope is restored in the northland.

What do we think of the terms? 2017 1st and 4th that could be as high as 2nd depending on performance?

I assume they are preparing for the chance of no teddy next year and maybe no teddy at all?

Seems like otherwise they should have picked up the likes of Mccown for much less...

I'm shocked they would part with a 1st round pick for Bradford, he's like the most injury prone QB in NFL history. They could have got Sanchez for nothing as the Cowboys did.

In the NFL 1st rounds picks are franchise builders not killers like Bradford.

Thank you Minnesota Vikings, enjoy Bradford. Hopefully he stays health. He looked good in the preseason. I know it's just preseason. Good luck.

I think Bradford is more mediocre than Bridgewater. Trading a first round pick for him is nuts.

This is good news for the Bears though.

Denver defense playing dirty tonight. Cam must have taken what 2-3 helmet to helmet shots? Hope Gano puts it through the uprights and ends it. 50 yards no gimme even in Denver.

Well so much for that. Denver 1-0, Carolina 0-1.

Not pretty but a win nonetheless. I was more keen about Rodney Harrison's YMII.

Von Miller is simply unstoppable! Even being double teamed, the man is a game changer! FML LOL I'm a little scarrrred about Dec 18th! Long way off though, maybe he'll be tired by then

Well, we saw Denver's game plan for the season, great defense, run the ball and pass just enough. I thought the kid looked solid, 18-26, not bad, a couple of IT's. Panthers had very bad clock management, wasted time outs and generally looked rusty and sloppy.

One reason to always bet home dogs, the Panthers giving up 2.5 on the road looked easy but....that's why they play the games

A few week one observations:

Blake Bortles, Jamies Winston and Derek Carr will be joining the 'elite' quarterback club in fairly short order

The Cleveland Browns are going to have a veeerrrryyyy long season

Andrew Luck deserves a better team

The Vikings defense may well outscore the Vikings offense

No matter who's playing quarterback, the Cowboys will find a way to lose

Gotta love a week 1 win by the pats, no Brady and no Gronk but they still pulled it off.

I wish I could've seen the commissioner's face when the pats pulled it off.

More like the Cardinals lost the game. As I Jets fan, don't care for the patriots much.

Well based on my bills inability to...well let's just leave it at inability

I'll revert to what everyone else does in the AFC east. Play fantasy football and cheer for whoever is playing the patriots.

Yup. The Cards first half was played like a preseason game.

Bradford was a 1st round pick.

I watched both play here in Philly. Bradford was exponentially better than Sanchez. I hope he does well in Minnesota.

This Raiders to Las Vegas thing now looks like it has a pretty good shot at happening.

Looking forward to Vikings-Packers Sunday night--lot of hype here in MN about the first regular season game at US Bank Stadium. Or as I like to call it, "US Tank Stadium" as that is what the Vikings always do--tank. GO PACK!

Let's see what the Bay communities offer for a stadium before we say the Raiders are making a move. There's quite a bit more money to be made staying in the Bay area than moving to a small market like Vegas. This still feels like the Raiders are leveraging a new stadium in the Oakland area.

I'm just glad that the Raiders appear to be relevant again. Growing up in New England before the Brady/Bledsoe era, I never watched the Pats because they were so bad. Memories of childhood : the old Steelers/ Raiders playoff battles. Always rooted for Raiders . Loved the Black/ Silver unis, their helmets, the Snake, Cliff Branch, Dave Casper.

The Bears have never ever had a quarterback. Maybe Sammy Baugh and Jim McMahon.

Heck, who was that guy in the 70's that threw the ball so hard no one could catch it?
