what watch case do you travel with?

Want to know what you the forum members travel with.

A) Oakley watch vault (for those lucky enough to have one. These things are rare)

B) casebudi (Oakley vault knock off)

C) hard clear plastic case Rolex watch was shipped in

D) nothing - you just put your Rolex in a sock or pocket

I'm trying to see how most of you travel with your watches. Especially interested in how you guys deal with the dreaded airport security bag scanners and the occasional need to remove your watch and push it thru the screener.

I'm TSA pre checked so I don't have to take my watch off. I travel with this watch roll my wife gave me a while back.

I actually carry one of the little green & gold boxes RSC used to use to send watches back after service. I'm also TSA Pre-check so I never remove my watch in USA airports.
I have been asked to remove my watch several times when traveling abroad. After a few times being caught off guard, I now take it off and secure it in my carry on when I'm anyplace other than USA.

Yeah, I travel overseas and have had to take my watch off. TSA pre-check only works in North America

Usually none as I mostly travel with one timepiece on my wrist though I may bring a Casebudi or Oakley if I think I may have to take it off at the airport.

The Oakley watch vault is common at the Oakley outlets in the outlet malls. I have seen them in Vegas and at Utah Oakley locations. Most outlets will ship to you and they range about $20.00. Google one and call if you want some more. I like them too

Depends how long I'll be gone. Short trip just the one watch one the wrist. A bit longer I have a Panerai service case I use. Any travel with more than 2 watches I have a leather watch roll similar to Dalton but a different brand.

I have a couple of the Rolex Coffin / Clamshells but don't use those to travel.

Small Casebudi, but typically I do not take my watch off in airports when traveling.

Depends on which country I am going. Sometimes I leave all my watches in the bank vault.

I usually just travel with one watch, leave it on my wrist the whole time. But, I do have the oakley knock off if needed.
I've never had to remove my watch going through security, TSA precheck or not.

A - only for my watch during sleep. I wear my watch through security. Only place I've had to take my watch off was in Dublin.

Casebudi for me, I ordered a bunch from amazon when storing in the safety deposit box. Only time I bring it for travel is when I'm bringing an additional dress watch to wear for a formal.

I have a four slot one like this, however, since getting my BLNR I may not be using this much in the future.

I've traveled all over the world and never taken my watch off to get through security. Several others here are in the same boat.

If you're taking your watch off to get through security, you're doing it wrong. Hell, I don't even remove my belt anymore and they haven't said sh!t about it.

My watch goes inside the travel case above and both inside the carry on before security every time I travel. I can do that in peace and worry free. Some have never been asked to remove the watch, but one day it will happen. I don't want to put my watch inside my shoe or worse mixed up with keys and coins and then hope to get it back so better be safe than sorry IMO.

Nothing safer than the way the manufacturer ships it. Hard plastic coffin with the manufacturer's custom styrofoam holder.

Can't speak for the majority of US travellers but in all the time I've flown out of the UK I've always had to remove my watch!

When travelling I take the Oakley watch vault in my hand luggage and then as I come into security I just place my watch in the vault and back into my hand luggage to go through the scanner.

Also on a side note for my 114060 and 116600 I prefer the more readily available Oakly large case vault I place the watch inside wrapped in my watch cleaning cloth and its snug!

I just travel with one watch now so it never leaves my wrist. As they are usually PM, no worries about the metal detectors.
