Why is that, Mike? I know nothing of metallurgy, and I don't own any PM watches. Does gold not set off metal detectors?

Perfect timing on this thread! I have been looking for a case and just ordered the small Casebudi. For those who have one, are you pretty confident that the zipper won't ever come in contact with the watch?

I own the Casebudi Alex. There's absolutely no issue with the watch coming into contact with the zipper.

I am also TSA approved and have never been asked to take off my jewelry or watches. I use individual leather watch boxes by Chanel.

I travel with a watch roll as well, and I never take my watches off going through security.

Glashutte Original provides travel cases with each watch, so I travel with that.

I have an Oakley vault that is just about perfect. I throw a microfiber cloth in just to wipe down the watch while traveling.

FYI - for my Long Island peeps, Oakley Outlet in Riverhead had about 15 watch vaults in stock as of last month. I picked one up.

I have a Benarus travel roll I use and it works great. Even fits my 47mm watches. Traveled abroad with it in my backpack/carry on and again no issues.

I used to take my watch off by default, always figuring it would not go through. I'd rather stow it safely in a case and then in my carry-on than be asked to take it off and have it sitting in the coin tray for everyone to see. But since reading the experience of others on here I've left it on and have not yet been stopped going through metal detectors at the airport. Of course, the body scanners are no problem anyway.

My watch travels will always be binary one or none..... I cant ever imagine wanting to take two with me, but there are times where I could see myself traveling with none. The root beer is my regular work long distance travel partner.

The LV case for travelling and the other one for storage, most of the time I only bring one watch so no need for either.

what watch case do you travel with?

Wolf two watch case if traveling for more than a few days, otherwise just wear one on the wrist. I never take it off to go through security.
