Why do you enjoy more?

I think it is quite fun to both figure out which watch you would like and then search for the best option.

Ownership is great too as you get the benefit of actually wearing it on the wrist.

If I had to chose I would say ownership but for some the thrill fades and then they flip to chase once more. I also enjoy helping others in their watch searches.

Usually, the chase is always more exciting. It's that search for the "perfect watch" if there is such a thing. Of my 8, nothing has thrilled me more than the hunt AND ownership of my Smurf. I LOVE this watch!!!

I would have to say both, the chase as well as the research is as exciting as the purchase and ownership itself.

The chase is great but love the catch. I have learned to take my time debating on what is next, doing research, etc. I am always surprised at how my mind will shift.

It's a combination. Must have both! I will say the chase never meant much to me before finding trf. I would literally walk in to a watch dealer once a year and pick one that day.

I haven't found ADs and watch dealers to be the easiest people to deal with (not a knock on TRF trusted sellers as I've not yet had the opportunity to work with one).

I love owning and wearing the watches - the buying process is a means to an end for me.

I enjoy the hunt quite a bit. There have been many times where once captured a new watch simply did not live up to its hype and I ended up flipping it.

Sometimes the hunt is the fun and the watch disappoints.

Sometimes there is no hunt as I see something that catches my eye and I grab it immediately and then fall in love and never look back.

Many times the chase takes longer than for me to flip them...

I think the chase is more enjoyable if you buy the wrong watch, not so with the right ones, sometimes it's just hard to figure which is which before the actual purchase.

I enjoy the hunt. I recall waiting over one year for one stone for a piece of jewelry I was having made. The hunt makes the journey worthwhile.

My Daytona on the other hand was instant and immediate gratification. I had planned on getting a WG Daytona from the Beach Collection and she asked me if I wanted a SS instead.

No hunting, no thinking, no nothing required.

Agree, I used to love writing pages of analysis of which watches I wanted and when and how I would buy them when I first joined TRF, was as much fun as the actual buying. Now I don't have many watches left on the radar so want to take my time with my next purchase and enjoy the ride and anticipation.
