Panerai PAM 425.

Guys,

I was looking at the 425 and noticed that there seems to be models with different coloured hands.

I've seen one watch with gold outlined hands and another on with black outlined hands.

Am I seeing this right?....

Cheers,

Geoff.

Guys,

Thanks for the pics.

I always thought the 425 had gold hands and I know the 449 has blue hands.

If you look at the watch on the left, which I think is a 425, it appears to have black hands??

Thoughts....

Cheers,

Geoff.

^ I think it's just a question of the angle of the picture and the flash of the camera.

I think you are right.

I've looked at a number of pictures of them and it does appear to be the light and angle that certain pictures are taken from.

Thanks for the comments....

Cheers,

Geoff.

There are only gold and blue hands on the SLC models.

425 is gold hands regular production SS case and a PIG (little sub) on the dial
449 is blue hands special edition SS case
373 is gold hands special edition Platinum case (first issued)

I bet it p?£!!@d off a few 373 owners when they released the 425 as they look incredibly similar but in SS at a third of the price !!!

Yeah, I think Panerai learned their lesson on that one. The 373 was the first big no-no IMHO.

I agree - they should stick with non precious metal IMO - that's what they do best

Guys,

Pic of the 425....

Also a pic of my 390...

I had two Rolex's which I sold to fund the 425.
I sold a 2007 16610LV, green bezel Submariner and a 1999 16570, white dial Explorer 11.

I also have two other Subs, so I wanted something a little different....

I certainly love the Panerai's.

Cheers,

Geoff.

Wow looks amazing with the frogmen logo on dial. Is it the regular 425 or a special model?
