Never get sick of saying this... INCOMING!
Picked up my white dial Speedmaster from the boutique today and what a killer piece in person. From what I have gathered, the lists are deep but shipments are coming in faster than expected so most collectors with deposits (even without for some) will be getting them sooner rather than later. This new white dial variant is a differentiated piece (special in my view) and can not be your only Speedmaster. It will complement a black dial Speedmaster or any speedy variation within a collection without feeling redundant (unless you have the white dial Snoopy). Lastly and on the wrist, it feels like a 39mm Speedy to me (my CK2998 sits taller) thanks to a lighter new generation bracelet and the side profile, appear (visually) very comparable to a ceramic Daytona and marginally thinner than my ST1.
I also bought the OEM rubber moon strap on a folding buckle so that should come into play nicely this summer. Omega - Thank you for making such an awesome model gradually and readily available (I say within next 3-6 months) to us collectors without playing games A few shots below for size comparison: |

Great collection Fred. (Somehow, all of them go with the slides, too.)

Congratulations. I like my white dial Speedmaster but the black dial 3861 is getting most of the wear on the bracelet. My 1861 gets the most wear because I change up the straps on it several times a week. I thought the white dial would get the most wear but that is just not the case. I am hot on the new pink dial Tudor Black Bay Chrono but don't know if I will ever see one.

Thanks so much guys! As I started to run more and wear a Garmin, it is good to have a new bird that excites me and make me wear 2 watches. The bracelet is very sharp so I have a feeling the rubber strap will be coming on soon haha!
Thanks again to all my good friends here and Happy Easter to you all Best, Fred |

Looks terrific. Congrats and a heck of a group shot there!
I just went to my AD today to inquire about this piece. They haven't gotten a single one in yet, but now I'm officially on "the list" for one. And by officially I mean she scratched my name and number on a post-it and most likely tossed it after I left LOL, but oh well. There's always a chance. Tried the black sapphire sandwich today. Really like the improvements they've made over the previous model. The bracelet is extremely comfortable, but I still think that tiny clasp looks weird. Seems a lot easier to wind which was one of my beefs with the previous movement. 20240401_120413.jpg 20240401_120408.jpg |

When I purchased my white dial Speedmaster I also picked up the Sapphire Speedmaster 3861 on bracelet. It has turned into a very nice daily and is getting significantly more wear than the white dial Speedmaster. I really like the dial of the black version.

Just swapped on the rubber strap and I much prefer this sportier understated feel. The bracelet looks more elegant but the rubber is just awesome and the way to go for me

Would love a photo or two! I don’t think I’ve seen any photos in real life of this watch on rubber. I may end up asking my SA to have one ready for me to inspect when I (hopefully) take delivery soon. My OB thinks it’ll be this month (full deposit placed the first weekend after reveal). When did you place your deposit, by the way? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
