Ready for the beach!
Had my subs pressure tested today with no problems. I m planning to take the Tudor with me on the next trip to Spain in two weeks. Do you folks get your vintage subs tested and ready for water activity?

I actually take a modern watch if I go to the beach or the pool as I am too nervous to take a vintage. Can we get some more pics? That pair looks pretty sweet!

I always take my 16600 and my 14060M when I am headed on a dive trip. The SeaDweller goes on a bracelet, and the Sub on a NATO. I use the Sub while diving, and the SeaDweller while on land. However, if my Sub floods, arrests, is damaged, etc............I have the SeaDweller around for my next dive.
I know my Red 1680 can be pressure tested, but I can't imagine taking my Red Sub and it becoming damaged/flooding during a dive. I would totally be gutted to damage that AWESOME dial

No way do I take my vintage watches under the water. I agree that is what the sapphire crystal ones are for. Have fun.

I sure do David. Actually, pressure tested my DRSD for a white water trip in 2 weeks. Take photos and we will share. They are "tool" watches after all!

I just don't have the guts to swim in a vintage even if it passed, but my 5508 did fail the pressure test last week and I have not tested the 6536 yet.

Really nice David and David. Stunning watches :)
I always thought old superdomes was way past diving. Perhaps i should check my sub as well. |

Swimming definitely not, I'd buy a G-Shock or a beater for that, vintage should be cared after. I understand that they are made for diving yada yada but they were also purchased for about 200 bucks when they were new. I wouldn't put mine near salt water or any water for that matter.

Nicelooking watches guys. I won't be taking my Red Sub swimming. Call me chicken, but I just don't see a need to take it into water I guess.

It's quite fun to read that so many sub owners won't get near water with their vintage darlings. Keep em serviced and pressure tested and they will perform and survive just as they are designed for!
