Recently sold off two cars and switched it up for the winter. I ski 70+ days and this makes a lot more sense. Enjoying the the utilitarian lifestyle :)

^^^ I love the MK7 Golf R. I have one as my DD and I really like its versatility. Is yours a DSG? I have a manual and I'm thinking about trading it in for a DSG.

Thanks. Mine is a manual too. I test drove a DSG before buying it, but I wasn't swayed. I know my car is slower and can't launch as well, but that doesn't matter to me. I just love rowing gears.

I guess in a way, the car is like my Rolex: less accurate than a cheap quartz watch, but besides the point!

Nope. Drive a 2000 Tacoma. Paid off and great reliable truck. Im not too concerned with driving an older truck and clients dont mind it.

I guess it depends on your personal opinion of a truck. I have a 2016 F150 King Ranch. Sticker was around $65k so it cost more than a lot of luxury vehicles, but lots of people just see a truck.

Hmm...I suppose they're not too far off, at least as much as any Rolex can be in balance with a 2003 Pontiac Vibe with almost 200,000 miles, haha. Then again a Timex might be more in balance with it. But I like my '99 16200 Datejust. And cars don't really excite me too much but I suppose I'll have to upgrade one if these days soon.

I did have a Toyota Corolla but I got a new Jeep Patriot as a gift. I like it though. Some family actually thought that I would really drive my Corolla till the wheels did really fly off.

I used to drive an entry-level VW hatchback whilst wearing a Patek Aquanaut. The brand new car cost me less than the pre-owned watch! Used to bring a smile to my face as I drove around :D

I generally consider cars to be money pits, so I'm more than happy to spend more on watches than cars.
