10% Discount on new from AD SS Sub
Oh I wish.
Darn do I wish I can get a discount on one. I guess I can save on the tax by finding an out of state ad who will sell and ship, but there is nothing quite like being the very first one to touch a watch, and getting to try it to see if all is right with it ( indexes line up etc.. ), before you buy. I guess it's worth $256.00 for the priviledge, and to foster a stronger relationship with my local AD. |

I know how you feel. My AD told me the SS subs sell like hot cakes, so they normaly don't discount them. I was able to get $150. off retail though, only because I bought a DD from them a few yrs ago,(@ 14% discount) so I took it.

I was offered 15 % on an SS Sub Date (M-series) from my main AD. And I can get 10 % from the AD that has a store in the town where I live. I guess the SS Sub is easier to get a discount on in Denmark than in the States.

I was gonna ask you where your AD was. But then I read Denmark. I have heard that certain countries enjoy better prices on Rolex than the US. Some also suffer from worse prices.

Well, $150 is $150. At least it's something.

Denmark has 25 % VAT so it is not cheap to buy Rolex in Denmark. The MSRP of an SS Sub Date is DKR. 35,000 which is about US $ 6,700.

Do you think you have to have an established relationship with your dealer befoire they start giving decent discounts? Rather than a first time buyer?

But, I've heard from others that their AD gives some return customer appreciation in the $$ department. :-) |

I have broached this subject before, but have not gotten much response. Since ADs don't typically discount SUbs and other high demand watches, what is the extra year on the warranty that BB offers. I know many of you have distain regarding Benny, but is a third year on the warranty as good a say 10% on a 5K watch?

I have a fantastic AD... she took off over 10% on a new SS Sub Date M series without blinking. I was able to also haggle in free engraving and a free 1st time service in 5 years!!
Love it!
