Need advice please, would you sell the 116500LN to buy the 126509 white gold daytona black dial ?

Yes. The white gold version has more attractive sub dials. I think I would miss the ceramic bezel however, but then again I like that the black on the WG version is limited to the dial only.

I prefer the SS but that WG is a beauty.

Because I like the WG, or even the Pt. Daytona, more than the SS, I would sell the 500 to help fund the 509.

The WG bezel is a ding risk of course.

Of course, I understand that switching from SS to PM seems like a quality improvement, and obviously it would be.

However, with keeping it in mind, I feel that in this case, this change might feel like a step backwards. I think the 116500LN is such a characterful watch that I certainly wouldn't change it to a ""more common"" Daytona, just because it's made of gold and not steel.

Yes, WG is beautiful, much more classy and subtle. 116500LN black or white dial are too common. Unless you care about resale value.

I would get the OF version. I really like the contrast with the ceramic bezel.

Would depend on the financials and what else you had in the stable

I would do it! To me precious metal Dayotnas are more valuable than the steel versions. I don’t really understand the whole buzz about the steel Daytonas. It makes perfect sense, you paid retail for the steel Daytona, sell it at a premium and buy the white gold version. Its an upgrade in my opinion.

Both very similar and lovely. Can’t go wrong with either. I would do what suits you best, ie preference/collection/finances etc.

Love the dial on the WG.
