Nautilus on strap, 14 years apart

Hi everyone! Currently, Patek has two Nautilus on strap, the 5726A-001 and the 5980/60G-001. The 5726A-001, introduced in 2010, is the second oldest Nautilus in the catalog, after the 5712A which was introduced in 2006. On the other hand, the 5980/60G-001 is the newest Nautilus, introduced just this month.

I would be curious to learn what you think about these two models, which one you like most, and why. While right now they co-exist in the same catalog, they are separated by 14 years, which is no small time. Why do you think Patek has kept the 5726A-001 alive for so long? Other strap models have already been discontinued, e.g. 5712G.

I also find it surprising that the 5726A-001 remains a live model - maybe the logic is that it is a steel Nautilus which does not garner the hype that the likes of the 5711 did, and on that basis they want to still offer some steel options (which goes for the 5712/1A-001 too).

I love the 5726A-001 by the way, and it remains an underappreciated option in my opinion.

5726 is my favourite Nautilus and I have one on a strap and would buy the one on the bracelet with a blue dial too, when I get the chance. Could never appreciate any iteration of 5980 and don't really like chronographs, but this is me.
Annual calendar is something Patek had created back in 1996 and is in a way their pride, not specifically Nautilus Annual Calendar, but 5035 was created back then.
