RIP NYPD Det. Steven McDonald
Today the NYPD lost a great man. Det. McDonald was shot in 1986 & left a quadriplegic by a 17 yr old kid. He forgave the kid who shot him & lived for the next 30yrs as a spokesman for the NYPD.

What a sad loss. I remember the story well. It happened while I was living in NYC. A true story of courage. You will truly be missed Steven, but your legacy will live on through Conor.
