Hmmm?
Not sure... Back in 2007 I really wanted a 16613, that was about ten purchases ago but I still have that first Rolex that caused me to say I "want one bad"

My name is Dave and I live in a nearly 300 year old very small house called Hall Cottage that used to be one of the servants houses to a large country Hall close by, hence the username daveathall (Dave at Hall).

Most people would assume that my nickname was related to the hunt for watches. In fact we used to have a really nasty Dalmatian that would defend his territory to an extreme. The numbers were just the numbers of our home address at the time. It's been a good combo over the years.

I saw a show once about a husband and wife who were looking at some homes in the English countryside. One of the homes that they saw was a really old cottage (probably around 300 years old) and it was so different compared to a modern home. Everything was so small. It was like the home was built for hobbits. It was awesome. Is your home quirky like that? |

Launchpad McQuack was the pilot in Duck Tales. The french version of his name is Flagada Jones... I used to be a pilot and belly landed my airplane 13 years ago... While living in France, my friends started calling Flagada....
2009 because Flagada was taken I guess..... It has now become part of my everyday life...... |

I will try to get some photos that will illustrate what I mean, to give an idea, Im 5'11" and the white beam is about 2" above my head, it travels the full width of the house from the landing through the bathroom and toilet, shows how thick the walls are by how deep the window ledge.. On the upstairs landing one can see how uneven the window ledge is and again how low the window is. (Sorry for the dark photo) In the bedroom you can see how low the eves come, again the window is on the floor. (Bad photo, the wall colour is cream) The windows in the kitchen illustrate how thick the walls are. Wood burning stove in the living room. The walls are a different colour now (Farrow and Ball Straw)

TBH Andy, its not the best at keeping the heat when it's cold, and being small when it is hot in the summer it stays hot. It has its problems such as no parking close by, a very small kitchen so no room for a kitchen table, all meals have to be taken in the living room on trays but I absolutely love living here and wouldn't swap it. We were very, very lucky to get this house, it was just above what we could afford but the old lady that was selling it liked us and dropped it to what we could afford.

Angrypuppy was the nickname of an airplane I flew at my first airline job.
At the time Delta had a bunch of MD-80s which were nicknamed the "mad dog". You heard it a lot on the radio ie: "follow the mad dog on your right". After awhile we started calling the CRJ the angry puppy as it had a similar look but was smaller, two rear mounted engines and a T tail. Mad Dog Angry puppy |

eman1200: 'E-man' is one of my many nicknames and 1200 was the size of my Harley Sportster engine at the time.

I've had the pleasure of restoring classic/vintage Corvettes for 30 years. Hence "vette" The 5451 is just an easy number to remember.

Very cool house, Dave. I love older homes. They have a lot of character that's completely absent in new homes.

Typhoon 7 is the NATO designation of the fictional submarine in the Film and Novel The Hunt for Red October. Sean Connery was the captain of the sub in the film. My first Rolex is a Submariner. The novel is my favorite, and with the Connery/007/Submariner connections, the name just came to me at the moment I signed up.

Mine is a combination of my love for the bark texture (which Rolex used to press into some of its finest creations) and the last part of the GMT Master. Bark + Master = BarkMaster.
Did I mention that Bark is Beautiful??

My highest rank while in the US Air Force was E-9, Chief Master Sergeant. The proper term of address for my rank is "Chief". My initials are TD for Tim Driscoll. I've been using this one since 1995.

Had a 2000 Corvette which has 4 exhaust pipes. Had chrome tips added to them, but lost one at some point and it was a while before I had it replaced. Some car buddies nicknamed me Tri-Tip.
